I did the main trail through there today, as a short cut on a longer ride:

I went through around 10 AM and the temperature was still below freezing, but everything was firm and no mud.  The only possible wet spots were just before I rejoined Bay Front South / Glenhaven Rd.  Everything was leafc-covered as always, but it looks like rain just flows off the hillsides and down the valley there.
I was just quickly passing through, but I did stop once on a climb (Cross bike with road gearing :'() and scoped out what an alternate might be for the fall-line climb that I had just hiked, and I could imagine a sweet line up and over a tree on a hillside that would also minimize the need for braking.  There's at least one spot that need chain-sawing, but everything else just needs some sticks moved and a trail defined.
Anyhow, if anyone wants to poke around in there tomorrow, I might be up for a mid-day ride (on MTB's).

I could go for that big time, as long as we bail if it turns out muddy. I'd like to check out some areas in there for potential trail under the proposal.

That was my plan when I went in there yesterday and I never came across any soft spots.

Well, we went. The good news - we got a fun ride in while checking out Westbay. The bad news- it was good only because it was still frozen. And just barely. By tomorrow, it will be as sloppy as everything else. In fact, it will probably be one of the last places to dry, it's very sheltered in there.
