I have not been up in the parks, or on the uber for that matter for a week now, How are the city trails? are they firming up or are they melting straight to  the mud?

I'm wondering if the ground would be frozen if you rode early enough or late enough this weekend Huh? The lows are still in the 20's tonight despite the heat wave forecast for the next week. It's been pretty sloppy lately in the afternoons (road only) but yesterday morning at about 7 all of the mush was hard as a rock on the side of Cobbs.

As of 10:30, all the snow I walked on was over 10" deep but so crusty that I actually COULDN'T break through it. Rock solid. Tomorrow AM could be "go anywhere" conditions.

That's so cool that it's staying firm that late! I'm headed out now so i'm gonna check some trails out and see.

Conditions yesterday afternoon were either spectacular or impossible. The shade was pretty much the deciding factor. Anything that was getting baked in the sun was hard to even walk through but the shaded snow cross and trails were awesome.

I just went for a road ride, and the grove and sledding hill were super packed.

Iwent out for a road / canal ride on my cross bike.  The canal path was still snowed in and wasn't easily riden on the cross bike.  I could almost stay on top of the virgin snow, but the skinny cross tires would break through.  It probably would have been ridable on my 29er.  Conditions might be very good tomorrow morning.
